Still Lifes

I loved painting still lifes.  I loved the idea of iconography and symbolism playing a part in something so simple and ordinary as everyday objects. I also wanted to be a true “Cubist” and use this genre to explore shape, color, pattern and composition.

Hi Mr. Shama, or “shamwow” as my friends and I like to call you :3.
No disrespect to you and your artwork but as an avid artist myself I’ve always been asking myself one question. These “abstract” artists, isn’t “abstract” art just an excuse to create scribbles and just replace it with the name “art”. How can one truly appreciate arts without first mastering all the core basics of art first?
Not saying that realism should only be considered art. Course not.

But I find it ridiculous when people who fails to even understand the crucial points in art such as:
    anatomy, shading, poses, ect.

and tries to pass out these “abstract” pieces as “art”.

Not saying that all abstract artists are like this.
